Woman On The BBC Got It Wrong ( Again )

Forecast was for rain all night and clearing up early and turning into a fine day with a bit of wind, if only.
Decided to go to Aviemore, there should be plenty snow, be home for 5.
The surrounding area has been kind to me in the past with some nice photographs from Loch Insh and Kincraig area but that was another day, the fine day forecast didn't happen, it was cold and wet around Loch Morlich and the Rothiemurchus Estate with rain and sleet blowing through continually and almost no snow on the ground so we went to PLAN  B and headed to Loch Rannoch.
I may have mentioned  that the Rannoch area is one of my favourite photographic destinations but when the weather is bad it is BAD and today was a bad day, we stopped at a field with some trees and boulders in then followed some footprints in the snow to see where they went on the theory that there must be something worth seeing through the fence, up the hill and round the trees but we were wrong, stayed there for around an hour with conditions ranging from grerat sunlight on the snow covered rocks to almost blizzard. Drove on down to the loch but when we reached the east shore and took a look up the loch it was not a view to inspire with some serious rain heading in our direction so a bit wet , a bit fed up and a bit cold we were home for 3.

With hardly a decent day since god knows when will we ever get any reasonable week end weather, not asking for much just please STOP RAINING
